Harry’s had a tough few weeks with picks so he’s pulling out all the stops to bring some momentum his way. It’s hard to tell if he’s doing it out of confidence or desperation (editor’s note: it’s desperation), but he’s decided to go all-in on one pick for the Tampa Bay Championship this weekend. He’s got a gut feeling, and he’ll be miles ahead if it play out right.

Harry’s Pick (Yep, just one): Luke List
I’m going to try something entirely different this week. You see, I’ve been struggling a little with my selections and I really haven’t had much luck or any modicum of success whatsoever with these.
So rather than do the customary and sanctioned three pick-pack prescribed by Commissioner Newton, I’m going rogue. Off script. This week I’m coloring outside the freaking lines, darn it! I’m raging against the machine.
I’m doing only one pick. One solitary pick standing metaphorically naked in front of the piercing light of ridicule shined upon it by the men outside the arena. But I am BGAF (look that one up from Benjamin Zander).
My pick this week is Luke List. It’s just a gut feeling. I think this is the week he breaks through and wins the Golden Eyeglass frames (again I have no idea what the trophy is).
Pick 1 – Stuard - I’m going to stick with Stuard, because he is a cut making, $ making machine. 6 for 6 this year with 3 top-10′s. Finished T4 in Puerto Rico and should continue his hot streak in Tampa.
Pick 2 – Immelman – Coming off of a slow start to the season, TI is playing better his last two events, and has to be having good thoughts leading to Augusta. Look for him to have his best week of the season in Tampa.
Pick 3 - Hahn – He’s due to rebound after a few off weeks. And is gearing up for his appearance at the X Hot event in Orlando. Should be airing out drives in Tampa and making a ton of birdies. Gangnam Style is not dead yet!
Editor’s Note: Jason’s been grinding away this week on all the cool new stuff we’ve got coming out soon. The man’s always on the go, but he’s never too busy to send in his picks.
His first pick Woodland has moved to 4th on Tour in driving distance with a RAZR Fit Xtreme Driver. Right now, Woodland is T2 on our X Team with 24 X Bomb patches this year. While we’re at it, here are some other ridiculous stats from the X Team:
- Nicolas Colsaerts leads all Callaway staffers with 41 X BOMB PATCHES! Yes, that’s 41 drives over 325+ yards.
- Callaway staffers have earned 188 combined X Bomb patches through last week. Woah!
- Last week, Colsaerts busted out a 381 yard drive at Doral. Not bad.
Jeff Newton (Tour Beat Writer)
Jeff’s Pick (I Ain’t Scared, Harry): Furyk
If Harry’s going with just one pick, I’m not afraid to follow suit. Furyk’s the choice this week at an event he won back in 2010. He’s got great history on this course, he’s 5th on Tour in driving average and he’s yet to miss a cut this year. Innisbrook isn’t set up for players to go ridiculously low, it rewards accuracy and great course management. That’s right up Furyk’s ally.
The Final Word
Jeff and Harry both think they’re on to something with this one pick idea. We’ll see how it works out for them.
