Our Tour department is having way too much fun after signing a number of popular and proven PGA Tour Pros for the 2013 season. Here are just a few of the big names and big bombers who joined the Callaway Crew in the past week:
Gary Woodland
Known for his athletic background, strength, enormous drives and winning track record, Woodland is healthy and focused as he heads into the season. The new Callaway staffer ranked second on Tour last year in both clubhead speed and ball speed, and his 450 yard poke at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions was the biggest PGA drive of 2012. Translation: he’s going to hit some serious bombs with his new X Hot Driver.
Woodland was an instant fan of the new X Hot Driver and X Hot Fairway Woods when he first tried them during a Callaway photo shoot. “The ball speed off this driver is unreal,” Woodland said when we asked him about his X Hot gamer. “I literally put it straight into the bag after hitting it the first time.”
Nicolas Colsaerts

Colsaerts and his ridiculous long game jumped onto the world golf stage at last year’s Ryder Cup, where he calmly stared down some of the best players in golf. In 2012 he led the European Tour in driving distance at over 318 yards per drive (wow!), won the Volvo World Match Play Championship (nice) and posted ten top-10s (not too shabby).
On his website, Colsaerts announced, “There’s a new sponsor joining my partners team…Callaway! I’m so glad to have them as partners.” We’re obviously glad to have him on board, too!
Andres Gonzales
Destined to be a fan favorite this year, Gonzales has the charisma and the game that golfers are drawn to. In fact, our head of social media Chad Coleman aptly dubbed him “Half man. Half amazing.” on Twitter. Gonzales had us cracking up as he raved about the new X Hot Family, which he’s excited to use this year. During the X Hot launch on January 3, he tweeted, “Callaway just launched the X-Hot line today. I tried the driver and 3-wood and they are instantly in the bag. #xhotgoesfar.”
Chris Kirk

Chris Kirk fits the modern Tour player profile with his tall frame, huge drives and eye-opening consistency. Still just 27-years-old, he comes to Callaway as a proven veteran who’s ready to break out as one of the Tour’s newest stars. We’re thrilled to have him on our team, and we know Kirk’s thrilled to get to work.
“With the start of the new year I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the @CallawayGolf staff,” Kirk tweeted on January 2. “Hawaii here we come!” The new Callaway staffer has been quick to praise his new equipment as well. When asked by one Twitter follower if he was playing the new X Forged Irons, Kirk replied, “I am, best irons I have hit in a long time.”
Brian Stuard
Stuard finished 20th on the final Web.com money list to earn his Tour card for 2013. The 30-year-old has the perfect combination of youth and experience after previously playing on the PGA Tour. We know it’s just a matter of time before he makes a big leap this season.
See, we told you this was going to be fun, and we’ll be introducing even more new staffers on our Facebook and Twitter pages over the next few days, so stay tuned! We’ve got plenty more big announcements in store!
